IDBS consultants are responsible for supporting IDBS' existing and new customers in the implementation, configuration and training of its software solutions. The role is based out of IDBS UK (Guildford) and will involve extensive international travel (primarily Europe and APAC).

Reporting to the UK Professional Services Regional Manager, responsibilities will include database and application installations, upgrades, project management, training and presentations and providing advice on configuration, integration and system usage.

• Qualified to degree level or higher.
• 2+ year's industry experience in a Pharmaceutical or Biotech company working as either a scientist and/or within the bioinformatics area.
• Strong Biology background (includes biochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, safety science, screening etc.)
• Outstanding communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• An aptitude for working with computers.

• IDBS product knowledge (or competitive data management applications)
• Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge/experience of working in a GLP/21CFRPart11 compliant environment
• Classroom based training
• Oracle database administration
• Coding/development skills in .Net, PL/SQL, Java, VB(A), PERL
• Customer facing skills
• Fluency in German, Spanish or French

Consideration will be given to strong candidates with lesser experience. Presence of desirable skills will be a considerable advantage.
