What we do

Capture - Capturing and ordering experimental data for 15 years

For more than a decade the biggest challenge that faced discovery organizations was the increasing volumes of data generated by advanced analytical instruments and automated high throughput methods of research. During this period, IDBS solutions has and continue to provide organizations the ability to capture this experimental data from scattered disparate sources, such as individual scientists' workstations, separate in-house databases, spreadsheet applications and LIMS systems, and integrate it in one location for easy access and searching.

Today, the informatics bottleneck has moved forward. There is growing need for managing data from later stage programs where high value compounds are screened for in vivo efficacy, ADME, safety and toxicological properties. The complex nature of this work is poorly catered for by existing informatics systems. IDBS has expanded its product portfolio to address this unmet need. BioBook, part of the E-WorkBook suite, provides pharmacologists, in vivo and pre-clinical researchers with flexible data capture, analysis and study reporting in one centrally validated and controlled environment. Study directors have greater access to late stage discovery data, significantly reducing the time required to prepare reports and make key project decisions.

Manage - Build, tailor and manage a complete compound progression environment

Data management is now generally accepted by the discovery industry to be an essential part of the research and development process. IDBS provides a robust and secure data capture, analysis, QC and reporting solution for every aspect of an experiment, eliminating the data analysis bottleneck caused by today's dramatic increase in data volume.

Our solutions allow multiple groups within an organization to share information with full experimental context, making the whole process more efficient and facilitating effective collaborations between researchers and research teams.

Easily accessible and searchable research data allows organizations to extract maximum value from experimental information, which can be re-used for decision support functions and predictive technology. IDBS data management solutions promote the best quality data by applying conformity through standard data terminology, including a common data dictionary that facilitates the sharing, analysis and understanding of data.

IDBS solution:

  • Enforce standardization and consistency
  • Improve information flow, making data accessible by both researchers and decision makers
  • Promote data sharing and more efficient use of data
  • Ensure higher standards through a common dictionary, quality controls and configurable business rules.

Analyze - Analyze, interpret, model and report on experimental data in a productive and compliant manner

IDBS brings quality, consistency and comparability to your research data, with solutions that ensure rapid and accurate results analysis.

Visualize, interpret and present experimental data easily using automated and robust curve fitting and an extensive range of statistical calculations. Experimental results are calculated in real time as data is generated through automatic and interactive data analysis, validation and verification processes.

Quality assurance controls both within and outside experiments apply configurable business rules, flagging potential errors and knocking out erroneous results to guarantee consistent data.

IDBS solutions enable scientists to communicate in a common language, resulting in an improved ability to share information and provide decision support across a project, department or organization.
